In Memory of Alexei Vella, 9.4.1983 – 10.30.2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Alexei Vella. According to his family, Alexei left the world peacefully on October 30, at 7:25PM, surrounded by his loved ones while listening to his favourite music. The following is an outtake of what was shared on his social media on November 1:

“He was our guiding light, our biggest inspiration and greatest motivation in everything we did.

His legacy goes far beyond the adversity he faced and the impressive work he accomplished.

His legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us: kindness, acceptance and embracing the wonderfully weird.

He lives on in each of us and in his (favourite) niece, Georgia Alexie Hall.

He filled our hearts and our souls, and the world will never be the same without him.”

Whether we knew him personally or solely for his incredible artistic talent, Alexei’s passing is a great loss to the world and we all miss him dearly. Our deepest condolences go out to his friends and family.
