“They always say ’It’s not a job if you love what you do’, and this is definitely not a job, this is my ultimate dream that I’m living in real-time.” — Joey Feldman
The art of Joey Feldman never fails to inspire us! We recently got a peek into the Altpick member’s ever-changing gallery and workspace in the second episode of “Behind the Brush”, a video series shot and directed by photographer and videographer, Fabrice Hennsens. In the video, Joey shared what initially drew him to making art, the inspirations behind his style (such as Japanese Manga, pen and ink and abstract and contemporary art) and his love for misunderstood monsters. We also got to see the materials he uses on a daily basis as well as finished pieces he’s created for famous clients, such as Metallica, Pearl Jam and Willie Nelson!
As of this moment, Joey has said that he’s going through a restructure and reinvention of himself in relation to his art. Exactly what this will mean for us avid followers, time can only tell, but to say that we’re excited to see what new work is going to be shared with the world in the next coming months would be an understatement!
